Modular cabinetry is sized for a generic room, so it arrives with filler strips to hide the gap between the carcass and the wall, and with end panels and trim that exist only to disguise a fit that was never right. Our Oldsmar studio builds every run to the dimensions of your actual kitchen, so cabinets meet the ceiling, the floor and the adjacent wall directly. Nothing is covered up because nothing needs to be.
Carcasses are built from a strict minimum of 3/4 inch structural hardwood multi-ply with solid backs that hold the box square and fix it securely to the wall. Drawer boxes in solid wood are cut with blind dovetail joinery, not dowels or cam locks. Veneered doors are sequence-matched so grain runs continuously across every adjoining door and drawer, and painted cabinetry is finished to a dead-smooth uniform colour across the whole room.
We work principally with Blum, Häfele, Salice and Hettich, chosen for your scope rather than applied by default. Any lifetime-action coverage quoted on soft-close hinges and drawer runners belongs to the manufacturer, not to our studio; we do not publish a warranty of our own. Finishes are multi-coat post-catalyzed conversion varnish, hand-sanded between coats, specified for Florida humidity and salt-air exposure.
We start with your cooking habits, appliance specification and circulation, not a template. That is how a tall pantry housing, a concealed appliance garage, a prep scullery and a seated island end get drawn where they belong. Integrated LED channels are routered into the underside of uppers, and the island is sized to your real prep surface rather than to the room's leftover space.
We do not publish prices or price ranges, because every Modern Art Kitchen kitchen is custom-designed, site-measured and quoted to its own scope. The investment reflects the layout, materials, finish, hardware, integrated features, delivery and installation. Ask for a proposal and we will price your actual scope.
Design usually runs about 2 to 6 weeks, fabrication about 6 to 12 weeks after design approval, and installation 1 to 5 days for smaller millwork or 1 to 3+ weeks for extensive kitchen cabinetry. Overall, 10 to 20+ weeks is common once trades, countertops, appliances and permitting are involved.
We design, fabricate and install across the Tampa Bay area, which is our primary service area, with the workshop in Oldsmar, FL 34677. We also take on commissions across the rest of Florida. For qualifying projects beyond Florida, white-glove delivery is available and confirmed during the project proposal.
